pass emissions test?
I live in the Houston area and I was wondering if anyone knows if sevens will pass emissions with the air pump (smog pump) removed? I have a 84 GS with sidedraft Mikuni, headers..but I still have a catalytic convertor. Anyone???? Thanks in advance

I doubt it. From what I can remember the air pump is critical to the proper operation of the cat. I just took my SE into a place here in Dickinson (Excel on 517) and it passed OK, but the HC # was real close to fail. The guys didn't seem to know the rotary so the hooked it up and ran, the visual part was easy.
