Insightful, I agree with you, completely. I too was frustrated when reading his posts. Pardon this soapbox rant:

At one point in our lives we were inexperienced. We took it upon ourselves to learn from our mistakes, sometimes costly mistakes, and gained the wisdom needed to keep our cars running. Fortunately, the forum is a powerful tool, like the FSM, to help others achieve the same level of knowledge and skill that we acquired over the years. It is evident that Bellboy7 is inexperienced and would do more harm than good. Sometimes it takes the "OGs" to say, "STOP! Now let's start from the beginning." It also helps when the person seeking advice takes heed and provides feedback. We can help members like Bellboy7 gain that experience despite the frustration we may experience.

Is it easy to throw a solution at this problem? Sure it is, many of us have done so. But it takes more time to give someone "stick and rudder" direction. Consider the quote, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life." Right now, he is looking for someone to give him a fish. However when reading his posts, I believe he needs to learn how to fish. I'm not trying to hold hands and sing, "Kum Ba Yah" here, but I believe we (as members in general) apply the four situational leadership styles in one form or another.

Right now, Bellboy7 exhibits the S1 to S2 phases where his level of competence is low and thus requires a high amount of direction from experienced members. There will be a point when his level of competence meets or exceeds ours and the level of direction we give becomes much less.

Ok, I hope that wasn't too far into the deep end! I'm off the soapbox. I wish Bellboy7 the best of luck on his repairs.

this isn't my actual account but i figured that would be obvious, most of the questions anyone could ever ask have already been asked on the forum and have answers. my level of patience is far lower than it ever was in the past mostly because no one seems to care about you or me with the exception of the very few in between, i merely am here because even through the bitterness i still can't help but at least try to be helpful. but i tend to help those who help themselves first now, instead of just everyone who seems to want it.

the symptoms he gave point to an OMP or faulty TPS, the TPS can be ruled out with a simple ohm sweep test(the narrow range sensor specifically), the OMP is much more difficult to rule out because they generally only fail when fully warm/hot and return to functional level once cooled off.

You are very welcome. I am glad to hear that you are getting better from your injury. As we Yanks often say, "that is no walk in the park." That was one big tuna if it sold for $30k! Did you earn that amount or did you get a smaller portion?

Let's get back to the car:

Do not abandon hope on the FC. Do you have someone close by who could help fix the car with you?

Did you get a digital copy of the Factory Service Manual (FSM)?
