Different arm rests?

Are the differences in these arm rests S4 vs S5? Which would be correct for a 1986 base model?

Thanks, new to the FC. I've seen some that hinge at the rear and others on the side, is it a difference in year/model for this change and difference?

86-88 (S4) hinge in the back, 89-91 (S5) hinge on the side.

the S5 Coupe, in the USA hinges at the side, the Convertible and non US cars use the same console as the S4

See j9fd3s elaboration above...I tend to only think in terms of the US models, and the coupes for that matter.
