Buying a FC RX-7
I have a goal of buying an FC RX-7 by the end of summer or end of the year. How much money should I have saved up for the car before buying one? And what should I look for when it comes time to buy, I know I want to check for any rust, compression test numbers, and apex seals, but what else should I look for?

For condition the first thing is the interior. the interior is the hardest thing to fix on any car. next is the outside. you're looking for dents, rust, bondo, bad paint. the outside is repairable, to a point. as far as the engine goes, look for leaks. it should start and you should be able to drive it like a normal car. a puff of smoke is acceptable, but no more than that.
it is typical for the sunroof not to work without help, can be fixed with some Shin Etsu grease

Body (rust) and interior are the hardest and most expensive items to fix. Mechanical stuff is just parts swapping. But treat any rust as a minimum $1000 repair if you take it to a body shop.
