1990 RX7 Convertible Passenger Window Installation

Hello,

This is my first time posting here as I've been unable to solve my current issue like I have in the past by using this forum and the FSM.

Vehicle in question is a 1990 Convertible RX7. As far as I'm aware, everything that I'm working on is more or less in stock condition as the vehicle as a whole was basically all stock when I purchased it a couple of years ago.

Initial Issue: The weather stripping piece that goes around and then down into the passenger door tore at the top corner.

What I've done so far: After some searching I was able to find the part for my vehicle and get it ordered. I've gotten the door panel pulled off and the glass panel removed. The old weather stripping has been removed and I have the new stripping partially installed.

Current Issue: I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the passenger glass panel back into the door properly. No matter how I've gone about it I can't get it back into the guide channel that the weather stripping resides in while also having the other panel guides lined up and inserted properly. I've looked through a bunch of different threads on both this website and others to no avail as they all stop after they've got through the removal of the panel. The FSM has been less than helpful as well as the steps and photos aren't as detailed as I'd like for this particular case. I've also found that the FSM sometimes just doesn't have the same parts or connections in it as compared to what I've found while physically working on it (has been an issue for me in prior cases as well such as trying to find the exact matching part to replace the old torn stripping).

I've been going at this for a few hours now and I've decided to just step away and ask for some help as I'm not making headway as of now. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Killer7502
