Passenger power window part?

I pulled the passenger door panel off today to do some dynomatting and found this piece at the bottom of the inside door panel - I must have ripped it off where ever it belonged. My passanger side window switch no longer works and I can't figure out what this peice does or where it goes - looks like it might be some sort of ground (see the flat copper contact strip in one of the photo's) -
Would appreciate any help on this one - Anyone??

Static Shock

I found the same thing in my door when doing some repair work.

I turns out to be a electric static discharge pad so you don't get shocked getting in and out the car.

I goes in the door handle area you will see a cut out for that shape. I just glued mine back on and reattached the copper to a ground point.

One of those interest things the mazda people thought of back in the day for our cars.

Im actually looking for the driver side one if anybody has one lying around they want to sell.

What ever that thing is, it doesn't seem to have much to do with the power windows.
Found the problem - I had a wire that was off the solder.

Thanks for clearing that up - I just left it off - If the passengers start getting shocks, I'll try to put it back in

Funny enough, I just found that little thing yesterday also.

No idea where it went so I just put it in the spare parts box. Now I know.
