Cool! The KenneBell charger looked very promising. That was an informative link that I will hold on to. Thanks

Something like this?

Not a 3 rotor, and not a name brand screw charger, but it was a kickass combination. Too bad I had to bag the setup for a V8 conversion.

Yeah, I always liked your SC setup. Best way to do it, IMO.

we are on the way to getting a blown 20b set up done in our car. Not a screw tuype blower though. Idealy I would love a 6/71 case with shorter rotors so it can be converted to a screw type so still have the looks we are more after, but better efficentcy

we have these
3b for a short time
this is when we have the little 4/71 on a 1

and this

and now to fit these

Weiand 6/71, looks much better than the small 4/71 with the scoop.

we have a PWR 10x8 barrel cooler as this is going to be itercooled and injected to make the most of the inefficent blower

Are you injecting before or after the blower?

after the blower, the injectors will be in the same place as they will be with a turbo set up, they have to be after the intercooler

Wow! Those look like pretty neat chargers. Anyone managed to mount one outside the spark plug area where the A.C. thing is? It just seems like there is plenty of room on the drivers side of the motor for a decent sized screw. That position would also allow a decent length/volume plenum for a proper torque curve. Just thoughs... keep the ideas coming...!!!

I had to mount mine low to clear the brake booster. After I made the throttle body adapter pipe, there was about an inch of clearance between it and the firewall. It's a tight fit with the millenia charger.

The pictures of the sevens with blowers look like show cars! I built 13b with 653 detroit blower fabed mounts and pulleys intake, had to overdrive the blower 2-1. 220 cubic inch blower spinning at 18000.00 rpm only made 25 lbs. boost. sound was mean as hell, but blower bearings didnt hold up! I also was running a toilet bowl fuel injection system top feeding blower on methanol. always ran cool. I am now wating to put turbo on it as i dont want the blower coming threw the lexan in my face. I have yet to see a succesful blower 7 make a run down the track, but would love to see it done!!! Good Luck

Busted7, ours is being made to be a tuff street car (looks or '****' factor as I call it lol so you are right there as looks go) first, 2nd-a car for the missus to race (its hers afteral). We are running our car interooled and injected so will make a big difference to reliablility and available performance.
Also a 6/53 is considerably smaller than a 6/71 (a 6/53 is only 34ci bigger than a 4/71 where a 6/71 is 108ci bigger than a 6/53) so they are quite small realy so high rpm certainly wont helps its ability to make reliable hp. Sooo with a bit of luck ours will be a good performer (not expecting 9s 1/4s or anything though) to go with the tuff style, fingers crossed

There was a blown (3/71) 13b in OZ in an RX4 that ran 11s in street trim, thats a little 3/71 in a heavy street car.

Good to here from you on your project, hope to see pictures of what your doing. For what i was trying to do it just is not going to work but it was fun as hell watching the v8 guys listen to the blower loping and ask were is the motor! And the sound of a blown 7 is a lot louder than turbo! Best of luck with your project.

will be funy to see how many people when the car isnt running, think its got a v8

Wow! Those are some great pics. I liked the way 88Integrals millenia charger was mounted low on the drivers side. That was the kinda setup I was thinking about, but with the twin-screw whipple charger & an aftercooler with EFI and a standalone.
