Where do i buy a 20B NA

Ok i know that 20B motors are sold from 4-5k TT but what about the 20B race, is it the same motor just converted to NA or it was out of different car and not the cosmo.
Or is it a 13g MOtor. im just really in need of the NA motor. Planing to do some custom work i was really looking forward on getting

Pretty sure there all the same and people just replace parts to make it n/a. Dont quote me on this though. I know if your going to get a block, make sure the serial number is a C or D block and not A or B. Its something about weaker parts or something. Good luck with the build, my dream car is a 20b itb single turbo fc.

if you are worried about spending 4-5k on a cosmo motor then you cant afford the 13g three rotor, period. only car the 20b ever came in was the cosmo.

Work out your budget
Go out and get a 20b.
Strip down to bare block.
Tear down, clean, inspect and swap out internals for some good seals and 9.7's
Inspect closely cause you may need Housings
Do all your prep work, and port work
Balance it if Your serious.
Dry Sump if your gona race it.
Make up your Manifolds, Headers, Throtle Bodies or Carburators
Finally your electronics.
If all goes well, it may look something like this:

Seriouslly, If your gonna do this, it's gonna get costly.
Street or Race, it's not a light undertaking.
Either way, consider all your obtions, cause once you start.
You loose your a** if you to turn back.

Contact GTORX7, he owns Definedautoworks and a FD with a N/A 20B. He is very bright and knowledgable. He will never steer you wrong. Either PM him or go up to the venders section and contact him through defined autoworks.

who said anything about me being worried. This project should take me around 5 months to do and money not really a problem. Dont get me wrong its now that im rich its just i got hook ups all over the place so im not really spending as much an as far as fabrication im just paying for the materials. I just assumed them old school rx-2 to rx-5 had the motor in the so i would search there, but then i didnt find anything. And by the way the motor is not going in to the Rx-7 it to something lighter around 1800-1900lbs
But i got so far money for the motor i just though it would be easier find one non turbo cause i though it came stock in one of the rx's i guess i was wrong. BUt im still intrested, i might ask my friend when he goes to japan see if he can bring one back for me, if u guys know where i can get one let me know.

P.S ill try contacting GTORX7 regarding this as well.

They don't sell the 13G to the public, so I guess you're screwed.

well i didn’t say i was looking for a 13g now have i? All im asking is where can i find an NA 20b if not, then ill prob ask my friend IN Japan to find be a 20b-

If he has no luck im prob going to have to go a different route which would prob cost me less money, a 13b-REW As long as its a rotary in my opinion, Its just i wanted to go NA for my build up and my power to weight ratio, but ill do a little bit more research, before i do anything. And i already tried to get scammed on the 20b motor, so im afraid to buy anything that has to do wit shipping unless its from a lagit business.
lol dont u hate when nothing goes as u plan.

got to love {Research}. Thx a lot to everyone.
So if the 20b doesnt work out, ill go with 13b, i guess il be done with the project earier as i hoped.
But im not giving up yet.

as mush as i love to buy a ready to go product, that just doesn’t feel right when doing a project car. Thank you for the suggestion. They way i see if it doesn’t work try again. if now im working 8-5 and go to school from 6-10, id rather take my every Saturday and Sunday work on the motor, little by little. And im sorry for going of topic. Just felt the need to explain my self. I am looking to rebuilding the motor and believe it or not i never had one rotory car. And till this day i dont. The motor is going in my ae86

you will make significantly less power with a two rotor if it is na. and stop looking for an na 20b as they never put it in a production car. not trying to be an ***(although im coming accross as one)

Talking

ok i understand that i never said i didnt that why in my first post , I said that i know they came out of 20b tt out of cosmo, and i ask a question if any other came with that motor, and i got a clear answare no. So after that post i realized my only option would be to find the TT or buy one that already made by mazda motorsports or other companes. So if u didnt notice i stoped looking for NA a.

And for the 2 rotor motor i didnt want to go NA, the only reason i wanted to go Na on the 20b is because of the relibality of an NA motor and the weight distribution.
And i did say 13B-Rew(if im not mistacking thats the twin turbo motor out of a 92-2002 rx-7 3gen and the 1990-1995 cosmo) if i wanted an NA i could of got the just a reg 13b(lol im not trying to be a smart ***, well maybe a little)

The 20B Race engine was not a conversion, but rather an actual purpose-built race engine. It did have some parts common with the 20B-REW Cosmo engine, but it had peripheral ported housings which are totally unsuitable for a street car.

The 20B Race engine replaced the 13G around 1988. At that time the 20B Race engine had a price tag of $42,000. As far as I know, it is currently out of production, but I don't think it would be within your price range if it were still available.

I wish I had a dollar for everybody who thought that they could install a budget 20B if they made it non-turbo. FYI the stock 20B-REW is actually your best bang for the buck vs. the other 20B configurations on a street car. However, in your case, I recommend a 89-91 13BT, which is more reliable, cheaper, and easier to run than a 20B-REW or 13B-REW. You can get a used 13BT for about $1,250 and rebuild it yourself for about $1,200, or you can buy a newly rebuilt 13BT for about $3,000.

Your question would not have been answered by searching anyway.

thank a lot Evil Aviator thats all that i wanted to hear. I guess i mig ht not that root as well. This kid wants me to buy his engine(1UZFE) lol 450$ a toyota four cam v8 motor trd. I might go with that. Ill save A lot of money but than agian it really wasnt about money, but im not complaining. It would still sound ITB on a JDM v8 or the 13b-rew and thats going to run me 2-3k.
Sorry for going off topic but what do u guys think. Ones agian its going in to my ae86 coupeeeee.
