have the shop do a compression check on it. If they wont, assume its blown and offer them $2000 for it.

I paid about 3000 for my D-series motor with "30-40,000" miles on it that was on us soil. I believe the going import price is 1500 + shipping from japan to us port ($500), but getting it shipped here and through all the red takes a long time.

Talking I thought i was the only one.

I just had my 20B delivered a few weeks ago i live in verbank, not far from Hopewell, I guess I'm not the only one to bad, there not putting it to good use like me. It's my new project it at the shop getting ported and such. Well i paid about 3,500 for mine with out tranny, and then paid like 560 for shipping from Cali so i guess the seller of this motor mite included that in the price. Mines a D block newer than the one u posted the newer the high up the alphabet D was the last i believe in the 3 rotor line up.
It's funny i also noticed where it says Twin sequential turbos, it on the aluminum it self on mine it's on a bronze plate but on the aluminum.

???

Well, I've thought of getting a 20B but factoring all the cost of it completing is overwhelming.
A custom exh manifold is about $1200. and add a T series turbo to that and that's another $1500, then a wastegate $500+, EMS and so on.
You should think about all the cost before buying the motor.

A 20b swap isn't that expensive if you start from scratch. It cost nearly as much to get a 13b to make the same amounts of hp that a 20b will make. Plus the 20b will be more reliable in the long run.

Talking Sorry abuot the spelling

Sorry about the spelling guys, but it seems that something must of happened when i replied. I have a self typing system that must be turned off when I'm on forums. It seems there's some English majors in this forum. Well to make it short i agree that it's less expensive to start from scratch, but "you get what you pay for" is my motto.

Other then that good luck.

amen to that! It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you just want a stock 3 rotor with stock twins, it will be cheaper than someone who wants a single turbo, drag monster and all the supporting mods to go with it.
