Wanted: ruined 20b thick center iron
Wanted: ruined 20b thick center iron
Does anyone have a ruined 20b thick center iron that they would be willing to donate for science, or know someone that has one? I'm not looking for a good or even functional one. This is not going to be used to build an engine, however, I do need the intake ports to be stock / untouched.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Doesn't have to be free, but a cracked / severely gouged center iron doesn't hold much value other than scrap price.
I'm not willing to pay an unreasonable amount for an unusable iron. I would however be willing to return it when I'm done if someone just wants to loan me a ruined iron.

calculon,
I'm putting it into CAD for a project... I can't say too much about it till I can get it into CAD and arrange all my contacts for the said project. Once I know all that, then trust me... I'll make sure everyone knows. I can say that there will be 2 models. One that's the stock 20b iron, and another that's... modified.
Japan2LA,
I'm for sure not going to pay $3900... I could buy a whole 20b for less than that. lol
The point is to do this as cheep as possible since my only objective is the CAD model currently. Hince why a damaged / unusable iron is preferred.

Thanks for the info though I've always wished someone would make an aluminum variant.
More power to you but give a call to some of the bigger guys and explain your ideas/goals - I would not worry about them stealing your ideas.
I hung up with Carlos Lopez yesterday after talking about my ideas and projects.. I was blown away when he would say things like "oh, yeah i remember that. we tried that in '99" ..or something along those lines. So dont be a `secret squirrel` and share the idea(s).
