except for the ugly *** splitter, i think that car is awesome! Ive often wondered what mine would feel like NA
You have felt turbo lag in your set up, now imagine infinite lag...

That is not really a joke, I have driven NAs :P

Still, I am thinking an NA 3 rotor may be nicer than a turbo 2 rotor if you like driving more than rebuilding engines. Since you already have a turbo 3 rotor it is going to take a 4 rotor NA...

When under WOT or close, the secondary ports open. That is supposed to add a significant amount of power. Is that what you're planning and what are your thoughts on it?

Gordon
Yeah, I've always had the semi p-ports in my 20b, but every time I get close to using them something comes up and it gets delayed over and over again. The way that they function is exactly how you decribed above. How much more power is to be gained I dont know yet, hoping that it is a considerable amount. It will effect idle and drivability compared to full side ports, even when they are shut. It wont be terrible (you can hear my idle in the dyno video) but it wont be like factory either.

Sorry I missed this post. My car and I got into a pretty insane accident a while ago. Good news is, the engine survived and is on a engine stand. Bad news is nothing else did. Its a bit of a setback, but by summer I should have a donor car lined up

My thoughts exactly!

Gordon your not going to find schematics for really custom projects like this untill someone actually gets the projects running correctly. Even then there are gonna be a ton of variables to work through. These are pure experimental projects so your gonna have to start experimenting with the rest of use.

As T-von already mentioned its a very very open subject with no real right or wrong way to do it. I have never seen a semi p-port project finished, including mine. I have thought up mechanical methods, and computer methods with mechanical. The exhaust will need different attention, injector staging, and fuel enrichment during when they open are just a few problems to get working correctly as well. If I finish my testing sometime soon, I will discuss more valuable info with you then. Keeping my fingers crossed!
