Plan on spending at least 25k-30k to do it.. Probably more esp. if you're not doing any of the work yourself..

Oh and do a search for 20b and you'll find everything you need to know..

13B or 20B.....you gotta pay to play. think the 13B stuff ain't cheap, go on and try the 3 rotor. less parts availability

Without an upgraded e-shaft, you run the risk of bending it above 7500rpm.

Before a supra motor you'd be better off droping a lt1 in.

If you want a 3 rotor and have the cash(30k+) then call Pettit Racing.. www.PettitRacing.com

Or you could just stick with the 13B, get a monster port and make 450-500rwhp or even over that for probably around 15-20k

I respect Jim, but for practicality's sake, having pistons in a rx is like a girl w/ a fake rack..... Ok, I better just stop this here..................

I don't want to start a debate either but for christ sakes don't put a supra TT motor in it, a LT1 would be much more practical weight wise and cost wise. Of course if you really do have the money to spend and want a 3 rotor then that's your thing too.

Would that kind of power still not be enough to hang with those other guys you're talking about?

Actually I was going to say the same thing, just suggest that he go with a single turbo/nice street port because now that I think about it if 450rwhp-500rwhp isn't enough to hang with his friends then he has some fast freaking friends..

ya, better get that thought out of your head. i'd have to jump on the first plane outta tokyo ta come over and give you a proper ejamacation if you were serious. you were kidding right?
anyways, do just a little bit more snooping around and you'll find that you can buy your FD all over again WITH a single turbo upgrade for all the money you will spend on a proper 20b swap.
how fast you wanna go depends on how much money you have in your wallet.

LT1 or LS1 = New chevy engines... Do a search for jimlab and you'll see what I'm talking about. Most people disagree with it though because it's not a rotary motor, but it can be one of the cheaper motor swaps.

If you're going for big horsepower figures on your engine I would recommend going to the West forum and see if anyone can recommend any engine rebuilders in CA. that do good work. Plan on spending about 5k(maybe a little more) to have your motor pulled/rebuilt/ported/put back in. One you get the motor rebuilt and ported you'll have a good foundation to make more power. After that to make those big numbers you'll have to invest in a programmable ecu, single turbo kit, fuel pump, injectors, intercooler, etc.. It won't be cheap but it'll be cheaper than a 3 rotor. Although the 3 rotor is more expensive you do get a engine with more torque that will make the same 450hp as a 13B but do it more reliably.

if you want a 20B in your S6, ship your car to NZ, have it done here, then ship it back again. Will be cheaper, and just as good.
just s a stab at the rates you guys pay

I don't know if they do it any different in NZ, but here we don't charge like a wounded bull!

Like above, you are charged $105?? US an hour. in NZ, expect to pay $50 + GST (12.5% tax) an hour, and thats NZ$! so thats about $26US including Tax! So there goes 3/4's + of your labour bill.

See the thread about the 540Hp at the wheels I started, my brothers boss is the first to do this in NZ on a road legal Bat.

I wouls expect it to cost no more than $30K NZ for the full conversion including engine rebuild and supply.
