was on the dyno recently and above 6k the car starts making a strange sound simliar to ignition breakup. A/f's are solid @ 10.8-11 between 8-12psi.

Any ideas what this could be? timing is at 10 degrees total advance under boost.

On the bright side the car made 403rwhp at 8psi at 5000rpm

 

Got the dyno graph handy?
If it's ignition break-up or something similar, it'll be obvious on the dyno sheet...

What standalone are you using? I would check your trigger wire, make sure its routed away ignition coils, and alternator wires. Sounds like your getting noise on your trigger signal.

 

Using Microtech LTX-12s, dont have the dyno sheet right now, but the a/f's did not fluctuate as is common with ignition breakup.

I will check to make sure the trigger wire is routed properly.

However, looks like I wont be starting the car for a while anyway, coils are no longer firing. The ecu isn't grounding the ignition signal. Microtech thinks the internal coil driver is fried and said to send the ecu back for repair.

Im sure the round trip to Austalia wont take long.......

 

I kinda thought it would turn out to be a microtech. The Ltx-12s I do not think is engineered properly, and shouldnt be ran. If I were you, sell that badboy once it comes in, and never look back.
