single Turbo + stock ports = ?boost

hello, i am interested in converting my fd to 20b motor, a local shop told me that stock 20b motor cant work above 3-4psi with a single GT42/T88 as ports are too small!!

has anyone single turboed his stock 20b with high boost? 10-15psi?

I suggest that you do not have that shop work on your car. The 13B & 20B Cosmo engines have the largest intake ports of any rotary engine until the introduction of the MSP.

The exhaust sleeves have a diverter but this will not restrict the boost the 3-4 psi

x2 for Banzai. Last time I remember, you could safely run 14 psi as long as you upgrade you fuel system for added protection and reliability.

3-4 psi...I'm sorry but that is laughable. Like Banzai said do not get that shop to do any work on your car.

10-15 psi is easily do able, pick a HP figure or another goal and shoot for it. 700HP at the wheels???

The stock setup with twins is 8-10psi.
Of course psi is irrelevant as the size of turbo effects power.
