single turbo oil drain on 20b - front cover or rear iron?
Simple question with hopefully simple answer.
I am just working on my 20B and i need to decide where to drain oil from single turbo.
Current setup was to front cover (S5 TII front cover) but since my turbo will be closer to the rear iron, i dont see reason why not to drain to the rear iron where stock rear turbo normally drains.
Turbo is ballbearing, so no big amounts of oil and rear seems to be more reasonable to me...

We route the return line to the front, the rear usually has too much going on with manifold, WG, DP, etc. Also most people mount the turbo closer to the front, shorter return line..
You can go to either, they are both factory oil return locations. Just be careful not to route it too close to the manifold, you do not want to burn through the return line and start a fire.
