Short Crank 3/4 Rotor Stationary Gears

Looking for some good pictures of short crank modified stationary gears. Would like to understand the machining on the housing/gear and carrier to hold them in the housings.

Thanks

a little searching...

https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...-build-974831/
https://www.rx7club.com/old-school-o...roject-892879/

not sure what is so difficult about the search function and about 15 minutes time. those are the 2 best documented builds i have seen.

3 rotor isn't worth the effort when 3 rotors are readily available, somewhat. maybe if you were shooting for some astronomical numbers from the larger block.

Kiwi RE had pictures of their modified intermediate iron but their site is unavailable now.

I wouldn't even say "somewhat" available...I've been searching for months. Short crank 3 rotor seems like a good idea since you have your 12/13b irons machined for the center gear and then studs. All parts (minus the crank) would then be easily replaced.

have you posted a WTB for a 3 rotor? yes they may not be imported much but all the ones out there just didn't disappear from the face of the planet.

Thanks Logan. Is that a custom gear or is it a modified stock gear.

Modified stock gear essentially.

Do you just use two 13b/12a rebuild kits with the short crank engines?

Was told the disasters in Japan took out a lot of wrecking yards, not sure how many 20b's were affected?
