Question seeking 20B masters opinions

Hey all,

My 20b engine just arrived on my front door this morning. The engine is off a halfcut and it is the first batch of 20b with a #814 stamp.
After I've done some research, the first batch are prone to failure due to the e-shaft and the weaker cast irons (not sure the housing or the intermediate plate).
My goal setup is to run a big single turbo and hitting about 700whp. So, is there any way to reinforce the engine? Would simply doweling solve the problem? or should I just replace the e-shaft and other weak parts, or the expensive way, billet plate and e-shaft. OR, the last resort, sell it and fund a 26b project.

Any opinions would greatly help me.

Regards
Wesley

Doweling is a solution or potentially studing. As far as the early shaft goes. I believe the biggest issues is how fast the torque comes on that damages that shaft. The old term was called "Snap Torque". Really large singles will have this effect as when you come onto boost, the torque curve moves vertical in a very short time. That's where the e-shaft is stressed the most. A turbo large enough for 700rwhp on a 20b isn't gonna be that linier in boost delivery. I'm not sure how the newer Borg Warners are spoiling 20b's at this level so I would suggest finding another e-shaft of lowering your power goals.
