rebuilt 20B cost
You guys are the experts...I have spoken to a reputable shop that has quoted me a price on a completely rebuilt 20B. Price includes complete teardown and rebuild, all new bearings, seals, etc, aggressive porting, doweling, every part cleaned, complete wiring, running the stock turbos in parallel. There may have been more, I can't remember everything from our hour long conversation. The price I was quoted was $6700. What do you guys think?
If I get the Microtech from them, he said they would set it up for me (maps and such) so all I have to do is drop it in then fine tune...for only $1500 more
Add $3800 for single turbo conversion.<--I don't know any details on this as I am not interested in doing this yet.
I am not sure if Im even doing the 20B swap yet, just exploring options.

fc or fd? The price on that engine build is less than half of mine, but i'm an idiot and can't do anything inexpensively.
You'd still need exhaust, ic & piping, cooling, sway bar (or not) and engine mounts and or subframe w/ spindles, clutch and flywheel. The list can be bigger since that is all the minimum 'required' stuff.
$3800 for a single turbo conversion is a little on the low side unless you can do the work yourself and get used parts. It can be expensive as you want it to be, beleive me, or some guys have done it for less than $10,000, but I don't think any of the are single turbo's.
Good luck
