Question Please dont shoot / New Member 20B Info

I am new to the forum but not to the performance world so please dont shoot me. I am 30 years old and have owned and operated a performance store for the past 10 years now. I am working on a shop demo car (93 yellow mica 20B) and could use any advice. I am not new to performance but am fairly new to the rotary world.
I am planning on making around 850 RWHP. I would like to get the car close enough and then use a little nitros to get it there for dyno braging rights mostly. The car is mainly for show and the occasional street ride to local shows, so it does not have to make any long trips, or produce that kind of hp often.

looking for advice to finish 20b install on FD!
I have already to many parts to list and will only list a few. if you think something i got is wrong, please let me know, i would like to save on any wrongful decisions which could be costly!

i am looking for the following advice

Good rotary shop to perform port and engine rebuild
Good streetable clutch and possibly a new trans
Good microtech tuner close to pennsylvania
Turbo selection has not been finalized but am
considering a garrett gt 42-45 with 92mm comp wheel.
biggest radiator and intercooler that will fit
Good waste gate
Any advice you have i would appreciate

some parts i have bought

petit sub frame, 8 lb flywheel, toe links and diff mounts
kazz diff and rp chromoly axles (stock gears)
microtech ltx12 with wide band option, seperate wide
band sensor and display, 3 bar map and
dataloging option
Nitros Express 2-nozzle system
Nitros Express intercooler spray kit
aeromotive 11104 eliminator fuel pump
aeromotive fuel pump controler and regulator
I am custom building header exhaust (4 inch ??????)
JIC coilovers
chromoly 6 point roll bar
working on big brake kit
The obvious 20b from japan, guess whats inside, crap
shoot on a crate! ($2550 shipped/special thanks to ASAP Motors)

Again take it easy on me and thankyou in advance for any advice!

Big power show/come drag car = Racing Beat or Mazdatrix. Been around a long time & know their **** (L.A to far???)

3-Rotors with heap-big power = twin plate clutch to start with

Micro-tech tuner = Best in the world is Rocky Rehayhem from PAC performance in Sydney. pay his flight & expenses, he may come over & do it for you

It sounds like you will need a rotary shop that has a lot of experience with drag racing if you are serious about the 850hp mark. I recommend checking with the following for recommendations on turbos, transmissions, engine builders, etc.

I'd suggest the clutch I'm using. It is a triple plate ORC (Ogura Racing Clutch) and has 1,100 kgcm of clamping force and is supposed to hold 1,000 hp.. Cost with the push pull conversion kit is about 2.1-2.2k

No triple I'm aware of engages nicely.&nbsp We've got an OS Giken triple on a customer car that's a bear on the street.&nbsp You want the ultimate clutch, go drop the cash on a C-C unit.&nbsp C-C = carbon-carbon.

Talk to Peter Farrell at Peter Farrell Supercars. He was able to get 700 flywheel hp from a 13B-rew. Based on testing with my car, he said 1000 was possible with a 20B built to the same specs.

Peter Farrell. Since you're in Pennsylvania, you could also check with KD Rotary.

thanks for all the suggestions, i am considering all. It is tough because i am doing all the bolt ins and manufacturing here at our shop except for the engine internals. Most of the respectable places want a turn key job. i am nervous about kd rotary, i think they are to conservative for the power i want to make. I may consider perer farrell, i will try and get ahold of them. who should i talk with? (perer i assume)

Yep. Perer. (I saw the other post, so I know you found the 't' key.)

He has said, on more than one occasion that he doesn't want to do another 20B conversion project, but he could probably be talked into just doing the porting and/or an engine rebuild.

e-mail me at asam@cris.com, and I can provide a couple of extra pointers.
