Sorry to be a bit off topic....

But I've just purchased a Tremec TKO 600 for my 20B....

Just wondering if anyone has any information to how you can mount this up to the back of 20B. I just need all the info you have about bellhousing, adapter, starter motor, t/o bearing, spigger bearing.... just everything...

Thanks

Ryan

I and should I use either the standard bellhousing w/ adapter plate?

Or go full custom steel one, which will be good for Drag Racing Regulations?

Something like this?

Cheers

Ryan

Gotta be a yahoo japan member to see that, unfortunately

BTW, Trust/Greddy makes both a 5-speed and 6-speed dogmission that fits in the FD trans case IIRC. And IIRC, it's a LOT cheaper than the HKS units.

here are pics of a t56 trans g force made. you have to use a hydrolic throw out bearing with this setup. the bell housing is from a chevy modified for stock starter position.

The starter fits? It looks real tight. Too Bad they didn't remove the chevy starter mount to give more clearance for the downpipe.

Am I missing something? Why is everyone rating trannys by hp? I thought trannys break from torque, not hp...

maybe it was 900 torque and not hp could just be my mistake reading it wrong. g force doesn't notch the trans for you to install the starter thats the only bad part about it. They give you enough room to fit a 4 inch down pipe were the chevy starter it located. you probably have to make a custom one though.

When I talked to G-Force, they said the tripple cone synchro upgrade improves high RPM shifting.

After a little digging, you can get a 04+ Pontiac GTO shifter to move the stick back a couple inches.

I'm still looking into a few other bellhousing before I take the plung!

Top is stock shifter. 2nd it the ripper shifter. B&M is also making a shifter and will be avail soon.
