Hi

Afer what I understand Mazda did intend to bring it to the states. Big muscle car.......and so on.
There were different wieves on the matter within the Mazda organisation. Such as what to call the car.....(It is a EUNOS not a"Mazda")
In second gererations JC Cosmo you can see that the plates on for example the firewall was made to convert it to left hand drive.
It was of course a very expensive car at the time. about YEN 5 000 000 in Japan in 1990 I think.
It was made to take up the competition with BMW 850, Jaguar........
Many things were "new" on the car: The first with Sequential twin turbo, 3 rotor engine, on touch screen, satelite navigation system....... First with a lot and set the standard for the production years ahead.

Hi

Love the color of your car!!! I whish my wasn't black!
It is pretty a problem to keep clean at all times.
Many times I have almost regreated that I didn't keep it original. It is a good and fast car original. I loved it and drove it "original" for three years. Just with modifications as exhaust and filter. With a ney exhaust the twin turbos really works well. My exhaust manifold cracked after a while though.
The great about the singel tubo convertion is that the enginebay gets a lot "simpler", not so "stuffed".

Well, if you want an original one, my 1990 Type E 20B is for sale. One of the first produced (#100078), only 57000km by one owner in Japan. PM me if you are interested.

If I had the money I would:-) How much do you expect to get for it? Why sell such a car? It's the best!.......one of the best at least.
Here in Norway there are only 2 registered JC Cosmo's and a third has arrived, but no registration. Tha car id very hard to get approved....if they ever will approv it again. I got the registration because of the history value. by they only accept a few by this legislation. If I ever sell it, I will never ever get one again....so I will keep it and I am very satisfied by everything the car has to offer me:-)

I want NZ$10000 for it (plus freight). I think that is about 45000 Krone.
Cannot register it here, only option is to wreck it which would be a total waste.

I see!

What color is it?? Is a e-ccs? interior color?
I will mention it to a friend of mine who really want to buy one. He has just bought a Rx-8, but wants a JC also. You are Right about the 45000 kroner. I think it is a good price if the car is good.

Why didnt they bring it here?

Its simple, americans dont want cars that are cool and that they "sorta dont need", they want cars that are ******* ugly and that they REALLY DONT NEED, like Ford Excursions and Hummer H2's. I mean, what could you possibly do with an amazing 50k car with a 3 rotor engine? Its just not equipped to deal with the harsh paved environments that require a lifted gas guzzling ***** extender.

Makes me wanna cry. I wish cosmos came here, what a unique car with a unique motor! Well, at least i can see cool Cosmo's like yours to make me feel better...

A friend sent me this link because I just picked up a 20b cosmo. Not sure on the year or trim level. How do I tell what trim level it is? It has the puke tan leather interior and gps system. A friend has a 13 cosmo parts car with dark brown cloth interior. I was thinking about swaping interiors but the dash looks like a big pain. The outside of the car is a metalic silver. Everything on the car is completely stock. I picked it up fairly cheap because it has a blown rotor. Anyways, i'm going to pick the car up on this coming up Thursday and will start working on it then. I'll post some pics later.

If it has leather interior it is either a Type E, or E-CCS if it has the navigation screen in the center console. Type E just has the stereo and a/c in the centre console.

HI!

I havn't started the engine yet. Some problems have come up, so I don't know what rpm I will get a bar.
The Turbo is a Greddy T88-34D.

Will take probably about a month befor start. Have to rebuild the engine from start again.

my Modified FD exhaustsleeves

Another thing about no more than 600 hp is that I then have to dowel pin the engine. I want low rpm and a lot of torque.....the engine is only streetported.

HI

Probably the thick center wall has cracked or something under the buildup of the enginecore. The watercoolant just poors right through the engine and into the sump.....
Very sad as I have to dismantle everything again and use new o-rings. The engine builder takes the responsebility and will rebuild it free of charge at least, but a lot of work to prepare everything again and wait some time.... Hope he can come to me and rebuild it in my garage......

Hey

Dismantled the engine today. Found a crack in the thick center wall. My enginebuilder will begin porting a new one by the end of the Easter. Then begin getting the engine together again. He is great. Very serviceminded.

Will begin to make some few other changes as well as the engine is out. Also much to prepare with gaskets and so on

More update later
