Larger Primary 20B injectors

Who makes a larger side feed primary injector that will fit in the stock location? I want to drop them in and not modify anything. I am looking for around 850-900cc to mate up with my 1600cc secondaries. Any one know of anyone here stateside that can reflow the ones that I have so I dont have to send them out to Australia?

If you don't mind me asking why do you want to upgrade the primary injectors? With the primary 550's and those 1600's you have enough injector for over 600rwhp, but to answer your question I don't know of anyone.

Stock FD secondaries (850's) can be dropped in with the help of a spacer.

With my large street port and new T-74 GTS turbo, I am flowing so much air that I am still going lean after 6-6500rpm and only 8-9 psi of boost! A friend of mine talked to Abel Ibarra and he said I need to increase the primaries as well!

I was wondering if they would work since they are side feed. what type and how much of a spacer would I need? A bunch of O rings stacked ?

You must be really sucking some air if your running lean with 6450cc's of fuel on tap (550x3 1600x3)

Yeah it is REAL fat A/F wise until I start to go stratopheric in RPMs(goes from 11 to 13.9 within 500RPM). Still trying to tune a smoother transition at lower speeds and RPMS. The new turbo setup is unreal! I have 4-5psi @ 2700 rpm and 10psi @ 3000. And from what I am told I am just barely even tickling the turbo.

I will be running a Garrett T76 and from my calculations the stock primaries and some 1600's is enough fuel, maybe my math is wrong

The 20B stock primaries are identical to the stock FD 13B-REW primaries - 550cc, high impedence, side feed.

Dropping the 850cc, high impedence, side feed stock FD 13B-REW secondary injectors into the primary positions is a popular swap for the FD guys.
You might want to ask them about it?
I just heard someone is machining custom spacers for this easy conversion.

I will look around. If you find any threads on it pass them along.
BTW, Where on Oahu do you live? I used to live in Mililani and had an 85 GSL-SE and 87 TII when I was there many years ago.

When I put 850's in the primary holes on my 13B, all that was required was to machine 2mm or so off the top of the rail so the injectors sit a little lower. I assume the 20B would be the same.

the swap for the secondary 850's into the primary rail is done often. most people just use another o-ring, but i think its garfinkle who machines (about 2mm as ozfett mentioned) your rail for the injector to seat properly. most who are a little paranoid go this route. i would go with the machining because i dont like the idea of just a second o-ring, more prone to failure in my mind, although others would disagree/have had no problems. i think you just send him your rail, and he does it and sends it back. charges $5 last i heard. yup $5 is all.
dont have time to search for the thread though...sorry.

I am running dual 255L/h in tank w/ a -8an line SS braided feed line all the way up front. with an Aeromotive inline filter. No more pressure/volume issues.

Got any dyno #'s for the new setup? Also I asked George about the reliability of his 20b convertable. After 40k miles and 370+whp, his car is still running great. Would you mind sharing your ownership experiances so far with your conversion? I know this is off topic but with all the guys on the forum doing conversions right now, it would be nice to here how well they actually hold up in the long run.

I don't have any solid dyno numbers right now. I did some preliminary tuning and pulls the other day and with a rough tune, she turned between 375-380RWHP @ 5K rpm and 6psi of boost in 3rd gear. So those are very promising numbers. And just shows how much HP this motor can produce at such low boost and rpms. It should produce a very reliable 450-475 HP on 10psi and over 600HP on 14-16 psi.

The 20B will hold up just as long as any other rotary engine. If you take care of it and maintain it properly it will just keep spinin' and spinin'. I have been driving mine for about 4 years now. There is nothing like the pull and torque that is so effortless with the 3 rotor!

Just did a quick dyno run the other day and put down an effortless 475 to the rear wheels at only 10 psi!!
