just wondering 20b oem twins

I was wondering if you could take the turbos themselves out of the 20B and mate them to a 3rd gen twin turbo housing? Just wondering because I think that would be a cheap way to upgrade the twins on a 13b. or are they the same specs?

There are threads related to this already, but basically, the twins on the 20B are two different sizes and they are both SMALLER than those found on the FD.

No no no, I had the stock twins off of a 20b and a 13b, and the 20b is larger on primary, same size as the FC single turbo, and the secondary is the same size as a FD. Seems like a good upgrade to me, 550 horse capable.

NO!@ i believe you all have some mis-information. i have both sets sitting in front of me. the comperssors for the 20b are ht-15 (primary) and ht-10 (secondary). the fd turbos are both ht12's (bigger than the teeeeny ht-10) but significantly smaller than the ht-15). no they do not bolt up... nor would you want them to... what would you do with 2 rotors, one really big turbo and one really small one? -heath

lol, yea I was going to say something. I remember seeing my stock 20b and my stock 13b-rew turbos laying next to each other. The 20b setup looked a lot bigger, but after reading this thread I was starting to doubt myself, haha.

this has me thinking... what about putting one ht12 from the 3rd gen in place of the ht10? I wonder if it could bolt up. This makes me wish I would have saved both sets to try it out on! We are going to be putting a 20b in my friend's second gen sometime, maybe he'll let me play with it, haha.
