how much to get a 20b into a fd?

well im going to be getting a big raise at my work and im wondering if the plunge into a cosmo is a good idea. i would rebuild the motor fur sur and probably go single turbo. but i was just wondering how much it would cost aproximatly to put a 20b into a fd. I live on the west coast too. thanks

I've spent about $13 grand on mine for all the stuff directly related to getting the engine into the car and getting it running [well]. However, if you safty in saftey equipment, suspension work and all that mess it easily comes out to $15 grand. In my opinion I did it in about as cost effective a method as I possibly could, and I'm doing all the work 100% myself. Also, I started from a bone stock car, which can make a big diffrence.

i've been searching for 3 days straight for this same question, and this is my first post in the 20b section. do the search man, you have no idea how much info is actually out there. most of your questions will be answered.
it depends on how much you have done to your fd already too. i can sell most stuff i have (that i cant use with the 20b) i think i can get away with doing it for less than $10k.
i just have a hard time with the 30+page threads....

sorry, i thought that it might be misinterpreted. i mean $10k out of pocket, after selling all the stuff i have now. like ported 13b-rew, single turbo kit, stock stuff i have sitting around. so its not like i'm starting from scratch.
that make more sense?
