How much do you figure this is worth?

I've been in touch with a gentleman who has a 20b that I am interested in. Financially it might be realistic... depending on $$$. What kind of money is this setup worth? Firstly the engine alone, and secondly the engine and tranny as a package. I figure the tranny alone is about $15K. For the HP he is quoting I'm almost thinking I should just stick with my 13bt and a single turbo to acheive the same results. Your thoughts?

Jason

It Has 500Hp at the flywheel with Microtech engine management with direct fire injection and data logging ,with the latest windows based software. Has three 53mm throttle bodies. It is complete ready to drop in a car. It has been set up for road racing and there is a new twin plate tilton clutch and a brand new sequential six speed holinger gear box to suit available . Offers on the lot ,or separate .

I'm not sure what the prices run for that stuff in the states, but can we say boost up and lots'a fun.. if you get it...

Is it running the stock 20B turbo's? or does it have a single turbo kit? also does it come with all the other **** you need to make it fit in a FD and the modded parts you need to put that tranny in the FD as well like the drive shaft etc???

You need more information on the engine. Which dry sump system does it have? Does it have Iannetti seals? Does it have the competition water pump? How many race hours are on the engine?

The Microtech LT worries me a bit, as that engine should have a hardened EMS like a Motec M880. It makes me wonder where else the builder cut corners.

BTW, I hope you realize that you cannot use that engine on a street car, and it's going to cost a lot of money to build a GT car to put it in, as well as lots of money for driving schools, race maintenance, crew chiefs, entry fees, towing, room and board, etc. Converting it back to street use may be more trouble than it's worth.
