Any of you guys using a garett gt or a t76 and stuff?
I'm really close to my money goal.. YAY!!! 7 months of hard working...with support of some friends.

Any opinions?

too small

The 42/45 looks like it would work on a 20B.

I think the upcoming 37/42 is going to be the killer for the 13B.

So, of the guys that have built single turbo 20B's for the street, what do you recomend?
We are also aiming for 650HP (want it a lazy 550HP).
Wanting to use Garret (easily available here).
Suggestions, specs? don't want it to be a topend mongrel

For a three rotor go huge, Like T76-92 (). Ask the guy with the Red Street FD 3 rotor. Ask him how quickly the T66 spools on his motor.

We don't have too many single-turbo 20B's running around the US, but the few that we have seem to go between a T-66 and T-72 for street/road race use. A T-76 would maybe be better if you were running higher boost. I am shooting for 650bhp with my T-66, but I don't know if I am going to make it (quite a chore with 72lbs/min max flow rate). Much like you, though, I will make 550bhp easy, and will not care if I don't get any more than that.

Then save yourself a lot of money and trouble, and just run the stock turbos parallel at 15psig with a street port and good FMIC. Pettit offers a warranty with this setup, so I would imagine that it is quite durable (at least until the smaller turbo burns up, but this is easily replaced).

Just finished sorting a road FD with 20B, we fitted a Garret TA45 (77mmfront). On the 13B's wefound these useless under 25psi, so naturally feared that it was going to be laggy. On 12psi the 20 B see's full boost by 3.500rpm and the increased torque of the triple makes the car respectable off boost. With a factory stock engine we are seeing 432RWHP and makes the car awesome. The key seems to be more in the exhaust housing and exducer wheel. I would definitely recomend this as with some porting and a few more psi boost your 650hp will be achieveable.

Turbo costs approx $1100US- not bad

Car should be in ff&r and Zoom soon. The manifold is a tube type, hand made with a common area before the turbo, where the PSR wastegate dumps from. We have the gearbox in the standard position and the engine moved as far left as practical. I dont know how to post pics but will try to have someone do it for me or email you some.
