First off, and I gotta say it, the search button is your friend.

Here is a picture of what I did. Sumped stock tank, with an inline filter, and Aeromotive Eliminator external pump. This is an old picture, but the only one I have on this computer. It gives you and idea though.

Time and time again I see people talk of needing dual pumps, sumps, custom this and custom that. Most of these fuel setups are overkill and unnecessary redundancy.

I have a 20B FD with street port and 850cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries. I simply changed out my intank stock pump and changed over to an intank BNR33 pump from Nissan. I have an SX FPR and I remain at 40-50 PSI on fuel pressure at all times with no issues whatsoever.

If you want to dump extra money into different pump setups then go for it, but I would save the money for the multitude of other money pit issues on this conversion. I've already thrown more money at it than I care to admit.

You must not be running alot of boost. I was running out of fuel on a 13b at 25psi on the apexi pump. I now have a aeromotive A1000 and a sumped tank and haven't had a problem since.

So why not go overboard that way you dont have to redo it twice.

I'm running upwards of 25lbs of boost with absolutely no lean out with 850cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries. Fuel pressure stays between 40 and 50psi at all times. This entire project is about going overboard, but I think there are some areas that don't have to have further cash thrown at them, dual fuel pumps and sumps, etc being one of them.

That is quite amazing. What kind of numbers are you making? I am running the same injectors on my 20b and I am positive there was no way that pump was going to keep up at 25psi on the fresh 20b rebuild. I am still alittle concered about the aeromotive at that boost level. My have to go larger.

Dual pumps would be the cheapest route they are only 100 a piece.

I was driving it as a daily driver with a very rough initial tune, and it moved like a bat out of hell. Unforturnalely, we did an experimental hardening process to the housings and irons, and I think we have made it too hard. My compression is dropping after 3000 miles of usage. It runs great until we hit 185 degree water temps, then if it stalls, it won't restart until cold again. I'm tearing it down this Feb. and seeing if we can get the coatings off and still preserve the housings and irons. This was definitely not a fuel issue, but it's still a kick in the pants to have to tear it down so early. Ah yes, let's throw even more money and time at it!
