FS: 20BNA RX-7 - 295 rwhp

Just thought someone in the States might be interested in importing a 20B first gen.

For sale: S3 20B RX-7
Item Condition: Overall good condition for its age. Couple of dents, scratches and rips, nothing major though.

This car has been engineered (blue plated) legally for a 20B, first legit S3 in Qld according to Qld Transport.

Price and price conditions: $20,000

Engine: Naturally aspirated 20B extend port, rebuilt less than 3000 km ago. Made 295 rwhp at Dyson Rotary. Microtech LTX12. Custom extractors, SelectMaz 3" straight through muffler. New 3 core radiator. New Twin 10" thermo fans. Bosch 044 pump. High volume pre pump. Speedflo fittings. New surge tank. Injectors cleaned etc, everything has been done. Brand new Malpassi rising rate regulator (fitted, but not shown in photos)
Driveline: Button clutch, S2 gearbox, (gearbox finally broke 2 months ago, orginally thought it was a 12AT although it was a S2) modified tailshaft, S3 diff with 4.4 gears

Interior: Stock S3 brown velour, new Momo steering wheel. New Kenwood CD player, Kenwood & Pioneer Speakers, Amp, Sony Sub.

Wheels & Tyres: New 17x7" Wheels with 205/40/17 tyres

Brakes: Vented disks all round, metal king pads

Reason for selling: Always wanted a 20B N/A in a first gen RX-7. Have other commitments with family & work and it is time to sell. Here's your chance to own a unique Rotary. Very different to drive compared to a 2 rotor n/a engine. Will sell with 20BNA plates.

Extra Info: Lots of potential with this car, whether you decide to keep it na or go turbo. As it is, the car is very streetable, no big port disadvantages that you would need to get this power from a twin rotor na, and plenty of torque, again something you wouldn't have with a twin rotor. On the recent Maleny cruise, I could sit in 5th all the way up the range if I wanted. I changed down to 4th when traffic in front slowed to near 20 ks.

The engine is still running turbo rotors, and I have all the original intake setup. (There are some bits & pieces of it still down at Dysons eg. fuel rail, injectors etc) As it is now, the car has the potential to run easily into the 11's. The intake on it now was bought in from the US. The original owner/designer had it on his car for only a couple of months, a lot of time was spent playing with different runner lengths etc and this is the finished result. This intake alone made a gain of 50 rwhp.

I have owned this car for over 10 years now, will be sad to see it go.

Faults: Front left guard damage (photo 1), right hand front guard (photo 6)
Damage to drivers side door, lower edge (photo 3). Interior is in excellant condition for its age.

dont sell it unless you are in need of money really bad dont sell it you will regret it for the rest of your life that you did. If your wife is making you sell it tell her no she will get over it.
Lets say it this way life is no longer fun when you have to toys to play with.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Yep, these are the tb's I bought off GTOrx7

I'm selling the car because we just don't have the room anymore, wife has car, I have bought a skyline as I needed something more suitable for work and the boat.

I just don't drive the RX enough anymore, it is an awesome car to drive though.

I would least keep the motor (if you have the space of course). You can always drop a 12A in and save the 20B, in case you get the 7 fever again.

Good luck regardless though.

Amen to that. Even without the filter and plexiglass.
