No i dont think its an electric pump if you look real good you can see the greddy pullet , its just the AST that`s right front of it

BTW thats the Greddy Super 7 , its a collaboration between Greddy and RE amemiya , i have mixed feelings about the body though
V-mount looks awesome though

lol.. yea I see that it's not an electric one now, haha.

My conversion still isn't done. I bought another FD to fix and sell... I had it all together ready to sell... My friend took it out for a ride and the thermoswitch for the fans went bad while he was driving it. The temps climbed to around 280 or 290, so it wasn't his fault at all....sooooo as soon as I get some time to finish the rebuild, I can sell that one and finally have the funds to finish the 3 rotor, lol.

Check out the cracked coolant passage...

thanks for the help, the way the ic pipes are attached to the ic should help with flow it looks more efficient than the RE set up but thats only from appearances not sure if it actually will be

shouldn't radiator be angled slanting downwards? i wonder if your radiator will see much air going thru it. seems to me most of air will be going through your intercooler and out the hood...

is this the typical v-mount setup?

for some reason, i've thought v-mount setup is when the air goes through your radiator, intercooler, then out the hood.

Looks great. Can you post some pics from behind the rad showing how you mounted fans and routed coolant lines?

Thanks.

I was waiting to see just how much they tucked into the bumber. Turned out pretty well. Get a splitter in there. Air will not be going through that IC much without one. It's going straight through the radiator.

Dont know what temps are like yet, we have 4 ft of snow here.

The ic was built to fit with this particulat front end, basically just went as big as we could.

The fit is tight, but everything is very solid and should be an improvement over the previous fmic setup.

Will be putting in a slipter and ducting the oil coolers.

The car is going in a local show at the end of March, need to do some work in the next few weeks to have it looking decent.

Will post some more pics as the work gets done.

Sweet now i know i can keep V-mount when i do 20b! that was my only reason for not goin 20b. I just will not go FMIC ever doesnt makes sence if you drive the car everyday or use it often. So now i know I can go 20b i will be budgeting for that!

just curious, other than the response time, what's the advantage of the v-mount over the FMIC setup? i can't imagine it'll be much better for cooling than the FMIC.

and how much better is the response time? most cars that i've seen on semi-professional road racing series have FMIC, that's why i ask.

just trying to find ways to justify spraying dirty rain water all over the engine bay whenever it pours here.

thanks!

Car has been running great, decided to take out one of the oil coolers and will try running without an oil thermostat this week when I get the car on the road. Will post the differences in oil temps. A few forum members with more knowledge than myself stated having two 34 row oil coolers was overkill anyway.

The earls t-stat that was being used would sieze up at least once a year and cause oil temps to get hotter than Im comfortable with.

Just bought Stance GR+ coilovers and upgraded the PT76 turbo with a billet wheel.

Subframe is from RX7 specialties, Plan on changing it out next winter to the stock subframe with modified motor mounts and putting the A/C and pwr steering back in.

The car still needs a proper tune, trying to find someone in Minneapolis or possibly Defined Autoworks in Ohio to tune it this summer. There are no places in Winnipeg that I trust to tune the car and I can only go so far with street tuning. Any suggestions?

There is a shop out in BC. They tune Wouter Bowman's 20B road race FD that he runs here at the Edmonton Indy. The fellow who runs it is names Marco. He does a lot of Microtech stuff.
