sure thing!

hey matt...now that i finally have the 3rotor on my workbench and im messing with the wiring harness, id like to know how long it took you to separate all the nessisary stuff from the cosmo harnss... you are using hte stock ecu correct? also, as far as the tranny controller...did you just unplug it from the wiring harness? or did you leave it connected (and if so do i need to keep any sensors from the tranny to trick it into working?). others said unplugging the transmission controller would put the ecu in limp mode......

it took me a few weeks a couple hours a night working
on the wiring to cut all the junk, I am running the cosmo
auto trani so i have all that connected still, but did test
with the controller disconnected and the motor will run
fine without the trani connected.
about the manual as far as a was told mazda never let
that part of the book out to the public.

We can actually order the manual through Mazda here, but the price is ridiculous (like $250). It comes in two parts: electrical, and mechanical.

oh yeah, i forgot that you were using the auto tranny... i bet its smooth though hehe. did you make any progress on the turbos? i think the consensus is that the twins just plain old run out of volume.... at this point (for my purposes anyway) it doesnt matter much, but later i will need to address it. you have the RE ECU right? did that help performance any, or is everything still the same since you cant push the turbos any further? hope all is well -heath

Guys. I have had the Cosmo workshop manual for some time now & the bad news is that there is nothing on the motor inside.

The reason for this was to prevent the Japanese dealers from attempting rebuilds etc. When ever the engine had problems, they where under instruction to remove it whole & ship it to the factory in Hiroshima. The factory would then crate out a complete engine to be installed.

So us poor plebs have to suffer with the RX-7 book explaining the twin turbo 13B, then use our imaginations.

Or, locate a Mazdaspeed shop maunual from the 90's. I have heard they have the 20B in there in PP form. At least its got the engine breakdown
