early and late model 20b's

okay, i just read that there is a difference in strength between the early and later 20b engines. how (if you are ordering from the internet) do you tell if the engine is early or later? should both types be doweled? id love to be able to stay away from dowels as they are horribly expensive here in the states. why in the hell is it so expensive over here for that mod. ive seen all the aussie and NZ guys do it way cheaper.

well, anyway. . . thanks,

paul

If I'm not mistaken there are 4 versions of 20b's A through D, the A and B are the earlier models and are consider'd the weaker of the 20b's there is a place on the motors to tell, but I can't quite remember where, but I know Marcos @ MVA Motorsports knows, he the one who enlighten me to the different models, call & ask him
