I'm planning on a max of 700rwhp. Maybe I could use fd 850's and 1600cc secondary's. I have no intention of porting the motor. Just getting a good tune and reving to 8k. The before dyno was very rich and only reved to 7k. How much difference would you think reving to 8k would make?

Sillbeer, as far as rotaries go, they usually keep making HP the more they rev but didnt esashka-san say that 20bs didnt like high rpms? I mean, i used to take the FC to 8K on the drags, and I'd be lying if I said the Fd never spent a few seconds at 9K. I dunno bout the 3 rotor though...you are almost at 700 anyway....I think after you clean up the maps and we retune it, you'll hit it. You will probably have to run race gas though here in the states all they have is 93 octane pisswater.

Is it because of the 20b's sequential turbos which would give the car sufficient acceleration for drifting and road racing? Is it because of, unlike the fd, the turbos are different sizes in the 20b? PLease let me know the explanations, I'm digging through threads to ed-ju-ma-kate myself!

The FC current has NO turbos on it.
There's a dyno sheet posted - 232hp and 193lb-ft.
We finally got the front bar built for it, and we're shooting for preliminary testing on the track this coming Saturday.
The car is going to be turbo'd soon.
We're trying to shoot for a minimum of 600hp at the wheels.

I'm not really sure the differences in the turbo's between the 13b and the 20b but I know it was recently posted on here.

I think the 13B-REW turbos are bigger, and the 20B ones run out of "puff" hell of a lot earlier than the 13B-REW turbos. Can't remember....

Ben,

yea I know it..I'll probably have a 91 octane map for street and a race gas map for drags. If I even get it street "legal". Im starting to wonder if this car will have plates on it....

I'm wondering also. I guess i'll have to save up and buy a running T2. Maybe even drive it for awhile like that before I do the swap. It may take awhile but it will be registered and driven on the street as long as it doesn't get loaned out.

Neil, I was looking around and I saw one fd with twin 3037's running an hks gt 3 core fmic with 730ps and another with t78-33d but i'm unsure of the hp on that car. Anyways they both had 3-cores. If you want i'll pick that one up for you. Just let me know. Later.

Yep, stock tranny with some Oberon in it. I'm not sure what i'll put in it to hold the power when the stock tranny goes. Probably a chevy tranny of some sort.

Neil, I liked that book you had going on as your sig, YSF.

yeah, I have a 20B project starting in the near future. trying to get some ideas since I know the TII trans will not be able to hold that sort of power for too long.
so far I think the Supra 6-speed would be the best over all in price, drivibility, and duriblty then the T-56 but I think that would be hader to mount.

soon as I get a little more rank and buy a nice daily driver the sooner i'll have a 20B vert.

I have a 20b that is streetported on the intake side only with a Borg-Warner S-400 turbo, microtech, tuned by Gabby Skern. It dyno'd 652hp at 17psi to the wheels on a Dynojet. That is well over 700hp at the motor.
