The companies everyone is telling you about probably could give you more insight. Even if you are not contracting until '04 I think now is the time you need to build a relationship with your engine builder.
I'm interested to know what companies you have contacted. I think you can give the board a lot of insight with the information they are giving you.

Easy.

A Precision Engineering NZ 4 rotor kit with bearings in all centre plates. 2 x GT42 Garrett BB turbos. Haltech E11. HME seals. If you didn't make 800hp, I would be shocked. It would be streetable and make the power on moderate boost as well.

Ever thought of contacting Mollar Int. and getting a custom built quad rotor? Or.. what would be really cool, parallel 3 or 4 rotor setups (an 8 rotor engine - An R8)

Of course you can send me that 20B you won't be needing

I agree all project cars have to be a labor of love (and hate) or else they will turn out half assed and poorly done.

I agree with Ted. Also getting into professional racing is not as easy as people think even when the sponsership and money is there. I was just a test driver with a small BMW shop here for a couple of years. They were eventually bought out and that ended my run at being a professional driver someday.

But every time your behind the wheel its a totaly different experience, on and off the track.

if moneys not a problem and your gunna do 3rotors don't do 4. You just need to work out some minor details like eccentric shaft ECU you know the small stuff, but it will smoke anything out there. Have a reasonable power band.(not all top end from Huge turbos) and be reliable.

Precision Engineering don't have a site as far as I know...

personaly i like the way rob at pineapple racing works
and the extent of his knowledge is awsome.
i inherited a 20b they put together and is streetable(forme anyway)
and has mad mad power (650horse and mad torque)
it is carburated pp'd and mega bridged with a t88
and still needs to be dialed in so much more power is available easy
(but i am new to rotor's so am still learning)

btw www.pineappleracing.com

Pineapple Racing sells complete 4-rotor engines for $8500. These are p-port engines, basically the same as the 787B engines and are claimed to make around 850 hp! This is a race engine though - not streetable.

700-800 hp?
20B rebuilt with upgraded 2mm apex seals.
Fully bridgeported engine.
Large twins (turbostreetfighter knows what to run for this type of set up)
mid - 20's psi should get you over 700.

Since money is not of any concern at all... and you said you might buy a Z06 in the meantime, how about making two fast cars. Get the Z06 engine completely upgraded, twin turbo it, and have 1200-1500 hp!

I know it sounds like a bunch of bull, but if you really need to, treat it like a "theoretical" buildup with unlimited money. Or imagine I make $60,000 a year and rotor housings cost $1.25
So tell us where you are with your project. I know you said within 2 to 3 years you will be making 50 to 60 grand a month. Even if you are only make 1/4 of you are making $12,500 to $15,000 a month. Must be nice. How many companies are you looking at for your project or has it already started. I know with that type of money it should not take long. Give us an update!!

Ahhh STFU idiot.Anyway Matt the biggest you should go as for porting would be a bridge port i'd think,a PP is for like pure drag cars.Get the bridge.Blap...Blap...Blap!Umm please dont call me a poser or wannabe when i also have a 20B in my FC.....no hard feelings bud. But then again in a few years once i get a FD i'd probly want to put it in that lol.

Ok, keep in mind I dont have a 20b yet but it is in my plans with in the next 6 mounths also my finances is my
business so please keep your comments to yourself.
Barwick, I hope this helps you out. I plan to put a 20b in a FD this summer I think a FC would be cheaper but I like FDs.
There is a place in Canada called RX-7 Specialties and they have some very good priceing, you can get the subframe and spindels(for bumpsteer) for about 1500.00 which I thought was a good price. They said 7500.00 for a 20b, I dont remember if that was ready to go or not but Im sure thats close. That 7500.00 could be cut down some if you bought one from over seas and did it yourself. I plan to get the Microtech ECU , coils ans harness for about 1200.00. My manifold for my turbo will be custom made for about 700.00 a good wastgate such as tail or hks and a T-76 maybe more. The rest of my car is basicley set up and Im sure there are a few small things Im missing but with a good water injection system I think 700-800 rwhp on pumped gas sounds good. My buget is about 15000.00, I should be own the road with a 20b for about that price.
