Connecting Innovate wideband to LTX-12?

I have posted this in the ECU forum as well but I know that generally has less traffic so hopefully someone here can help if not there!
I have an innovate MTX-L wideband with Bosch LSU4.2 sensor. Can some one explain if/how I connect this to my ECU? The wideband comes with a cable to connect to a laptop via a serial port which I don't have! My LTX-12 ECU looks to have a square black plug similar to an injector one which I believe is for the wideband but I don't know if and what sort of adapter I need to get form the wideband to the ECU or whether it needs to go through another box which I don't have? Please can someone advise as it should would help with mapping, logging and trying to iron out a few little rough spots.
Thank you
Lee

you can't use it with ltx12 very effectively. You need to recalibrate voltage to AFR value. I believe its factory default is calibrated for Microtech wideband sensor only which is ridiculously expensive. You can get it reconfigured to work with your innovate wideband but this means sending it in and paying high price for the reconfiguration. or you can get LT16c which you can configure for many different sensors.

or do the right thing and ditch the microtech?

Thanks for the confirmation.. Good t know. I figured it probably wouldn't be straightforward! Am not ditching it yet. I have come too fat and finally have The car on the road to run in and tune properly. If I am still not happy with the setup once the winter sets in then maybe I will swap out for a Haltech or megasquirt during down time. Might keep my eyes out or treat myself to a Christmas present!
