Complete Newbie Here in Perth.

So, my dad picked up a FD3S somehow and he gave it to me as my birthday gift. I want to upgrade the engine to a 20B from 13B and I literally have no idea about what I need. Is there like a parts list or certain companies I should buy the parts from? Also, is there a place in Perth that can do the engine swap for me. I am not the bravest person when it comes to dyi stuff or metal/wood work things so yeah.

You really need to get to know the car you already have and do a lot of learning.

You should ALWAYS start with reliability modifications before power. There will be lots to keep you busy with that.

For future reference - swapping to a 20B is a huge undertaking and requires a skillful rotary builder and deep pockets to do it right.

Under the national code of practice, a 20b in any fd3s is an illegal engine conversion. You wont be able to get the car engineered, you wont be allowed to drive it on the streets. There are no ifs or buts about it.

The only way you can have a 20b fd is to buy one before the new rules were implemented.

Go for it if you want a track car.
