Garrett G45 turbo, didn’t really say how it was so quiet other than it not being bridgeported and the billet plates allowing a much larger street port on the primary than can be done on the Mazda side plates

yeah, so it turns put they essentially duplicate the secondary port for the primary rather than the tiny, delayed-opening timing factory primary port. Which not only makes sense from the iron insert manufacturing perspective, but for intake flow as well.
