You know, I have a MKIV Supra. It's apples and oranges anyway, but I'd grudgingly have to agree - Supras still have the horsepower edge.

But the car sucks anyway haha. It's probably the "best" car I've ever owned that wasn't very much fun to drive. It gets attention. It's a rocket on the freeway. It makes all the numbers but it's just HUGE. I mean it's...huge. Huge vs. Fun...I'll take Fun. So, I'm selling it to fund the 3-rotor project.

Besides, I can't stand Supra owners. My friend summed it up best: "Supra owners are the Corvette owners of the import world."

If you don't know what I mean, try this little exercise: 1. Go up to a Corvette owner. 2. Talk about cars.

Seriously, try it.

20b I'm sold

OK ya'll have sold me on the 20b. I have always kinda been the lack sheep of my family by likeing forgien cars and not following along in the V8 trends of the rest of my family. Even though I did get a Firebird to replace my poor FC. There is a saying there is no replacement for displacement and that addage definatly holds true even for rotaries

Im sold Im gonna put a 20b in the T2 when I get it.

links at top of 20b forum, like was said above. If you want to do it right, budget about 20k for engine parts, plus 15-20k for labor, unless you can do it yourself. I've been pricing out doing a 20b swap into my FB, and here is the list:

cosmo clip: 4-5k
GT42R 1.15A/R: 4k
rebuild and port: 3-5k
Haltek: 2k
FMIC: 1.5K
piping: 500
coils: 500
fuel system (injectors, 2x Aeromotive 1000 pumps, lines, fuel cell): 2k
subframe (i think there is an aussie on the forum that is selling them):~1.5k
radiator: $500

worst case scenario for just engine bits:22,500

then add in:
FD tranny, rebuilt
Ford 9" from Granny's
custom driveshaft
clutch
flywheel
wheels
tires
suspension
widebody
interior

the list goes on and on and on for what you could do with a 20b swap, but as far as just the drivetrain goes i'm looking close to 30k when all is said and done.
