Apology For 20B "Incident"
In that pic of the spindles, have they been welded or are they a completly new forging? If they are welded, good luck getting that past a vehicle inspection, outside of the factory, no steering component(in canada) is allowed to be welded, and then driven on the street, our rules are more or less a carbon copy of the US rules, so I would check that before buying them...Max
That's a good point, however, with the vast majority of the state inspections out there no mechanic would EVER check for that, a ran into a few who didn't even know what EGR was - that's kind of a problem if you're doing saftey / emmissions inspections...

Its something that always gets checked for here, I put a set of dana 44 axles in a jeep once that were meant for a IH scout, my friend then had to have it safety inspected for insurance, it failed because we welded the drag link, there was no aftermarket draglink available for that swap(there is now), so we got a blacksmith to weld it, it was seamless there was no visible sign of welding, it was taken to a different shop for the inspection, amazingly, it still failed, the mechanic realized the axles were not oem, they popped the steering links off and had them x-rayed which showed the weld.....we were busted again...If they pass something that is against the law, their licences are on the line, I am not sure about US since the trades were deregulated there, but that would never pass any kind of inspection here...Max

Awesome! I definetly know what you mean by using the time you have to wait for parts as a chance to paint and polish parts.
About how much time do you think you've spent on it thus far?

The 26B was originally engineered for use in some sort of Mazda GT car, as seen in Gran Turismo 3. I found a great site which shows it in use in a Mercedes. Apparently, it also finds use in many aircraft applications.

Apparently, there was also one shown at Sevenstock.

I figured the Australian market would be a good place to start, but it probably will never come to fruition, since the engine would take so much effort and fabrication to fit. Maybe in a different chassis.
