Anyone use a 6 puck ACT clutch with these
What kind of torque do you think it will hold up to.
My impression is that it will hold more torque than the TII tranny can.

I'm using a sprung 6-puck, but I'm not fully tuned yet either. Waiting for Sean to get me a smaller turbine housing. I'll let you know how it holds up.
A Twin-plate is close to the top of the list of things to get.

I had the ACT 6-puck in the RXX-7 for about 60,000 miles with no trouble. When I had to rebuild the motor, I replaced the clutch, but it wasn't really worn out. I would guesstimate that it would have lasted another 20K to 30K miles. It's supposed to hold up to 550 lb./ft. of torque. I was putting out around 425 at the rear wheels.
Before you ask, I don't remember the model number. I just called SR Motorsports and asked Ray for whatever he was using in his (at that time) 920-hp, 20B drag car. He's the one who provided the 550 number.

I am currently using the ACT 6 puck un-sprung... and i like it. It grabs hard, and the pressure plate is supposed to hold up to 514 ft-lbs of torque.
Im going single turbo though, and some people are telling me to upgrade...
Unless i make more than 500 (wont happin) , im stickin with it.

Sounds like I'll be destroying that 6 puck in short order then.
what do you guys think about the guru clutch and flywheel? any one use it?

or am I better off going with one of those twin disk units?
BTW, this is going to be more of a race car that I take out on the street every once in a while. definitely not a DD
