Is anyone else running this setup
Here is the setup I'm running just wondering if anyone else is doing the same thing.
I'm running the 20B with a single turbo and LTX12 ECU. The main question is if anyone is running P/S and A/C as I will be. I don't think I've seen any other conversion thats running the 20B with P/S and A/C. If I'm wrong then please post some pics. Thanks

Sorry if this is off topic, but the ECU you are running is a microtech right? If so, is it an upgraded version over the MTX-12? Is there any real differances detween the two?
Thx

Thanks for the imput send more. As for the manual steering, I have though of that. I know its easy to steer that is not my concern. My main concern is when I'm going about 150+ MPH and the steering wheel is loose as hell. Thats the main thing I like about the speed or rpm controlled P/S, it tightens up as you go faster. I dont think the manual rack can do that and that is why its no good for me.
Oh, I am going to use the stock condensor just need to modify the lines a bit.

Are you sure that you want to use a Microtech EMS? It sounds like you want a lot of amenities, and the Microtech products are really more for no-frills drag racing.
I'm going to use an aftermarket AC because freon is just too difficult to deal with nowadays, and my stock AC system is in sad shape after all these years. I still haven't decided on which AC I will use because that decision will come later on down the road after I get the car up and running. I think I may need to mount the condensor horizontally, but that also will be determined at a later date. Yes, my friends all tease me about putting AC in my stripped-out street/race car. It all comes down to two physics equations:
Black Hatchback + Florida - Interior - AC = 2 much suffering 4 me
Critics + $ = Buy their own 20B sweatbox

The PS actually loosens up as you go faster
You may want to consider actually driving an FC with a manual rack

I not sure I agree with that. I know for sure when I had my TII convertible running and the P/S hooked up it would get much stiffer upon accelaration and higher speeds. Teh 88's worked on speed and when the speedometer was disconnected the steering was loose as hell at any speed. It was dangerous to drive, but when the speedo was connected it definately got tighter at higher speeds.

Although, in the stock computer there are wires running to it, when I switched to Haltech it had no A/C or P/S wires going to it. It only had to control the BACV when the A/C was on.

even without the idle valve hooked up the car will run fine with the air con on it will even idle fine, i have setup 3 cars with air con and never used the idle valve to control the idle, you can tune around it so it wont stall out.

As far as the Manual steering rack goes I just need to try out someones car that has one and compare it to one that has P/S. It really doesnt matter to me either way. Just which ever one feels better to me when I drive it will be the one I go with.
