FL Any advice where to buy a 20B engine?

I'm getting a new FC soon and will be doing a 20B swap.
Does anyone have advice where I could look to buy from?

I'm looking for the whole package.
It won't matter if it needs a rebuild

Thanks,
Edgar

I would post in the classifieds. Also, you should pm Japan2LA and see if he can get you one.

Most informative 20B into an FC chassis link:

You do realize that the stock ECU, wiring harness, and coils are basically worthless, right? Also, the stock Cosmo auto transmission is pretty much the same thing as the RX-7's stock auto transmission, and will not hold up to a highly modified engine.

Sorry if you already knew this, but I just want to make sure you plan accordingly so you don't waste a lot of time and money.

Thank you for the info.
I never knew that.
Everywhere I look they sell the whole package...even ebay.
Most likely, I'll just buy it off Japan2La.

Thanks Again
I appreciate your help

Edgar, do some research before you just go buy a 20B. It doesn't just bolt right into an FC and off you drive. The total swap will cost around $10k just so you're prepared financially. This is assuming you are starting with a TII originally. Do research because most people scrap their project after they get a motor and relize they are in over their head.

Buy mine! Already built, never fired! All new parts, etc.

Search the classifieds $11k so only if you are serious though.

FYI you don't live that far from Pettit. They have a couple 20b's laying on their self. You may want to give them a buzz.

How do I put this politely? You'll want to make sure the Pettit 20B you are buying is as advertised. So, if you are told the engine has all new parts and is balanced, you'll want to open it up to ensure this is correct. Read my thread to learn more.

How about this?

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-rx-7-1986-1992-vehicles-108/fs-87-tii-roller-20b-ready-788755/

Or, I'll sell you everything you need to put it in your chassis (except engine and turbo) for $5k
