After 13 RX7's, over the last 23 years, it's 20B time...

This Friday my car will start the process of going 3 rotor with a single turbo. If things go as planned the car will be done and ready to make a pass at the track on May 15th...

The heart is a fully built and polished 20B with a T-74gts single turbo hanging on the side. Custom FMIC, custom radiator...lot's of polish will be under the hood. It will be controlled by a Microtech LTX-12. Dual 20B fuel pumps will feed the fuel system.

Some of you may have seen this motor before. It belongs to a good friend of mine who has decided to do a trade with me. He gets my complete setup plus a bunch of cash and i get his complete setup. I will post pics and updates as the project progresses...

Here's a few pics....

You bought one hell of a set-up. I've ridden in that car b4 (still trying to find my old video). Good luck with your conversion.

After the first weekend of work we managed to make a dent in the project. We pulled the motor, Haltech, subframe, spindles and a bunch of other things out of my car. We pulled the 3 rotor, Microtech, subframe, spindles and a bunch of other things out of my buddies red car. We then switched the subframes and spindles. We also put the 2 rotor in my buddies car.

This weekend i will be swapping the fuel systems, then work on my buddies car and will probably polish the custom FMIC and Custom radiator.

Next weekend the 3 rotor will be installed in my car...

Knock on wood...so far there hasn't been any big issues...

Here are a few pics...in the first picture that's my old MB RX7...i took 3rd place in the car show...the 3 rotor didn't place

Damn, the world's quickest 3 rotor conversion. And you beat my record as my conversion only took a little over 5 years

Nice!

After 4 weekends of work today was the day she came to life. On only the 2nd turn of the key she fired up. She sounds awesome... I will post some pics later tonight.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Lee Tascano(tearbo2) for all his work over the past 4 weekends. He was able to help take this from a pretty 2 rotor to a beautiful 3 rotor...right now the car should be making about 525 on pump gas and 12 lbs of boost...at least that's what it was making in the car we pulled the motor from.

Lee will be tuning the car for about 22 to 24lbs of boost. I am hoping that puts me somewhere north of 700hp....

Looking too make my first pass at the track in about 2 weeks. It's going to be nice to drive to the track...make a 10.XX pass and then drive the car home. (knock on wood of course!)

I will post a few pics later tonight and perhaps a video tomorrow.

LEE....THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP...

that's next...and no i am not excited about it. Still researching to find what the best tranny upgrade/swap will be.

I am not 2 worried about the current tune and the tranny holding up...but once the boost goes up i will get very worried
