And then he uses ceramic apex seals, not sure thickness or anything else about his motors. That may not mean anything at all, but that is what I know....

good to see the kidnapping money going to good use
after speaking with abel a few times , i've realise that his service dont come cheap...u cant blame him cuz he's one of if not the best in the world....i think u might save alot of money by letting another good builder build the motor for u then have abel tune it...
a core motor is $30k TT plus $60K TT in parts and another $30-40KTT on Abel to build and tune
thats alot of money my friend, especially when u dont have a good track and roads to use all that power, i know i was born there..
save urself the stress, buy my friend's 20b cosmo, he wants $80K TT for it

I highly doubt Flaco Racing(?) would sell you a 20B for $4,000...

In fact, I'd put money on it it would cost you significantly more.

with abel u get alot of conflicting stories when it comes to the REAL builder of his motors...you hear "the puerto ricans builds his motors" or PAC performance in OZ builds his motors,because there was a pic from a few events back with Rocky from PAC next to the rx8...they even said Anthony from Maztech was doing work for abel cuz Anthony was here in the US not to long ago....then there's the "i met the X-builder of builder of abels motors today"....i wish a top level official of flaco racing like Bern from rotarynews.com would clairify who the REAL BUILDER of Abel's motors is....there are alot of good builders all over the world but only one man prove to be consistant in the rotary PRO field with numerous 6 sec passes and 200+MPH trap speeds.....i think if an outside source was building his entire motor from top to bottom then why isnt there another car/team running similiar times as abel???

You laugh at his inconsistency but atleast he is out there trying to run and represent the rotary. And do you forget that he is the fastest rotary in the world. Not really something to laugh about. Yes there are some great rotary engine builders out there and they are not exclusive to the dragracing scene. I know that on the NHRA site on the new car's page that they have Rafalito and Siguel supposed to run some NHRA events and yet I haven't seen them in the news. I don't see anyone bad mouthing Carlos Montana because of his inconsistency's and lack of making 6 second passes. People hate you when your on top that just the way things are.

in my earlier post i said "one of the or if not the best in the world"...... im not saying that abel is superior , all im saying is that hes running the times and making the power and thats what it all comes down to....at the track the only way to know the best is from their performance,not all the talk and he say/ them say BS....IMHO i think if there was someone else that was more capable of building a high HP 1500+WHP 20b to be consistant and take the abuse of drag racing we would of herd about them already.....also why is there only 1 super fast 6 sec rotary out there?? where are all the other top shotter builders??? do u know the kinda business those guys would get if they were to pass abels level of performance, the guy who started this threat has $20K large to invest on a motor and he wants nutting but the best....why are they hidding?? theres money to me made, thropies to win and dont forget the bragging rights "Im the best and the fastest"....theres alot of fast cars in australia that i think will give abel a run for his money, but they lack a proper track and chassis tunning...Siguel and rafalito are legends and i have alot of respect for them and what they've accomplish....Rafalito has the new PRO rx8 and i hope SOON we will see the 13b record broken again and as for siguel i think his car has alot of potential but it seems he lack the zeal to play with it....sporty is running quick with that 13b and actually broke abels 3-4year old record but it would of been cool to see what would of transpired between abel and sporty if flaco had keept developing the 13b...i didnt mean to turn this thread into "the best builder" flight, but we have to give the man respect and credit for what hes doing for the rotary community..Amen

let me remind you guys of something very important. there is no reliable 1500whp engine that anybody can build .even abel ,if you go to watch the races he goes through 2 engine per weekend sometimes. i was talking to george and rocky from pac racing couple of days ago asking them when they will nail the record and george answered me if they go only after the record they would have stopped racing long time ago. the engine they have in their car right now has close to 20 passes on it .
i guess you can choose to be number one in the time slips or you can choose to be reliable.
im not bagging anybody , and i respect all the top builders , but just giving my 2 cents

jose(siguel) only lacks money!

but there are a couple of new cars in puerto rico ,fabiola started last year with and its running 7.42 with a 13b

Why don't you see a lot of cars build by the top builders? It comes down to $$$, in fact I thing Roger's Manderville 3 rotor engines were going somewhat higer than the $20K budget; imagine the price tag on a 4 rotor?

Funny, on one of of Abel's shoutout to Siguel (Abel Claiming to be the best\fastest), Siguel responded with "What's the point of being 1/10 tenth of a second faster and not being able to complete a weekend race without breaking an engine" (or something alone those lines)

I think you mean Sporty with a 7.34 @ 180 MPH on a 13B

Fabiola best time is a 7.72 @ 173 MPH on a 13B
