20b studkit conflict with org water pump?

Hi
Got a close tolerance 12,7mm studkit in my 20b motor, seems like the one stud that comes out through the front plate underneath the waterpump-housing is in a conflict with the housing. Cant get the Waterpump housing mounted on to the fronplate anymore. Is this a common problem? and how do everyone fix this? cant be grinded to much on the waterpump-housing either since it then will get a hole in to the pump and cause a leak.
Will the 13b waterpump fix this?

If not i will just have to make me a little spacer for the whole waterpump-housing.

Here are two pics of the problem, see the stud thats hitting the waterpump? any suggestions to solve this? could try to grind of some one the waterpump but afraid that i will make a hole into the waterpump.

Not a big problem been there done that.. I would start off with drilling a hole larger by a couple of millimeters than the diameter of the stud. drill a little bit , test fit do this till it clears. If a hole appears in the WP housing, You will need to machine out a slug with a recessed clearance hole/cup/bowl shape in the slug, once that is done drill to fit and weld shut the hole made by the drill...
At the same time you can grind down that pointed area on the stud bolts to minimize how deep the hole needs to be in the housing ...

Hope that makes sense and is the help and advice you were after.

Thanks

Thanks, this is what i descided to do, wont drill. Will grind the bolt as much as possible, talked to a enginebuilder and he said that it could also be taken some off the nut if nescesary and just put a small spotweld on it to lock it. And then grind the rest on the waterpump, this should make it possible to do without making any holes.. if not there will be a hole and a plug insertet in to the waterpump housing.
