j9fd3s, do you know if the 20B's water pump pulley can be installed on an NA water pump? I'd like to use a serpentine belt if possible. I've already marked an FB main drive pulley with 120º notches for accurate timing on a 20B, but then I found out it won't really fit due to the 20B's (and I think all later engines') idiot proof bolt spacing.

if you have a drill you can unidiot proof the pullies (we bought a car like that, scary). the water pump pullies i think all have the same bolt patten, they only differ in depth. it would be really nice to use a 13b cosmo pulley, the 20b uses a really wierd belt. its almost like a blower belt (7pk798?) the fd and 13b cosmo uses 5pk8hundered something. i can measure the pulley depth on the 20b if you want.

Nah don't worry about it. I'll just use dual V belts instead. I've already got the belts and pullies for it. It would have been cool to use a serpentine belt, but not really necessary.
So is it just that one bolt hole that needs to be redrilled? If so (and I really hope so) I can use my marked FB pulley on it.
Do you know how many degrees off the FB is compared to FC and later? Do you know if the dizzy gear on the eccentric shaft is the same as a CAS gear on the later shafts? I ask because my friend has an '86 NA engine in an SA and the dizzy seems way off.

i think the dizzy gear is the same from, 67-02. its an 0813 part number. i think it is just the one hole, you just need to make sure the marksline up when your done. the 86+ ones are marked 5btdc and 20. i forget what the older ones are marked.
