20b oil pan question

did anyone chop off the sump well to lower the engine to the level of the subframe? I don't plan on running dry sump, but curious what people have done to aid with oil pick up without the sump well. I had a shop make the pan long time ago and now when I look at it, it's just 2-3" deep pan with nothing in it. I want to weld in some baffles with trap doors but curious what people have done in the past before I start welding. Thanks!

Hi Stickman,
I cut the well at the front if that is what you are referring too? A while ago now so not entirely sure how much and what I did but it is pretty well detailed on my build page which can be found here: http://www.rspowerprojects.co.uk/

Under 'RX7 FD3 - Triple Rotor'

It's not far from the top of the page. Hope it helps.

In return I think you are running microtech right? Maybe you can help with the query I just posted.

Thanks
Lee
