Will a FC Competition (stiff) mount or solid mounts work in place of a 20b stock rubber mount. I'm getting ready to drop in the motor soon and i didn't get the rubber mounts w/ 3 rotor. FYI I'm using a Pettit subframe in a FD.

 

Or if anyone who has a set of 20b rubber mounts left over after swapping thier 20b into a FC let me know.

 

Stock 20b's had liquid filled mounts. I forget what other Mazda cars had mounts like this.
There are threads on this forum about mounts. Search.

 

the fc and cosmo mounts are way different. the cosmo mounts are very tall. call pettit and see what they do (my mounts were bad when i got the motor), if all else fails the 20b mounts look like 93-95 929 mounts

Thanks for the input. I'm going to the dealer where my buddy works and see if i can get a look at 929 mount. I gathered up all the pictures i could find of stock 20b mounts in them to get a good idea what to compair it too. If anyone could post a closeup of a mount i would appreciate it.

 

From what I have heard, the liquid-filled mounts aren't very good. Sorry, but I don't know very much about the FD, so I don't know what will fit and what will not fit. Here are some pics of mine with FC mounts:

If you are using the Pettit subframe, then why don't you ask them what they use for mounts?

 

When we put the 20B in my FC, I used the K2RD motor mount brackets and the stock T2 motor mount pucks.
