2 Rotor Cosmo Questions

Is the 2 rotor Cosmo just a 20B with one less rotor?

Where do you get the rear housing that will allow you to bolt up to a manual transmission?

Oh boy!! Yes I guess you could say a 13b is a 20b with one less rotor - a very simplistic view but yes.

You should have a rear PLATE on your motor that the trans bolts up to - the manual will bolt up to this - all the bolts are the same except one.

GOOD LUCK!!

Of the little over 9000 JC cosmos made 4000 were 20B cosmos the rest were 13B-RE powered Those engines made 220HP were twin-turbo and very similar the 3rd gen engine but with definate differences.

Gee, thanks for the tip about an engine having a rear plate. I asked the question because it was my understanding that a Cosmo from a automatic would not bolt up to a third gen manual transmission.
And yes, it was a simple question. I guess I could have gone into more detail. All I really wanted to know was if the 2 rotor Cosmo housings, port configuration and port size are the same as a three rotor. In other words, are they interchangeable.

I believe the port sizes are the same size. They both have the same crappy assed exhaust sleeves.

The intake ports are bigger on the Cosmo and while the exhaust ports sleeves are smaller on the Cosmo they can be removed and replaced with the larger sleeves out of a 3rd gen motor.
