20b intake manifold mod?

I thought I had heard of someone cutting the inside wall out of the 20b manifold. I have a q45 single TB so I don't see it hurting anything. After I get it cut out I was planning on having it extrude honed. What would be the best way going about this? I have drimel and started on it but it was eating through my cutting wheels pretty fast. I bought a flex cord for my 1/2" drill and was going to use that but thought I would ask first.

Racers usually modify a stock intake manifold by cutting it open with a band saw, then using a Dremel or similar tool to reshape the interior, and then welding the manifold back together.

Update on the manifold

I'm almost done modifying the intake manifold. I hope it works out okay. I still need to smooth up the runners a little more but it will be back together soon. Here's a few pics of the progress.

Thanks for the pics. I haven't seen the inside of a 20B intake manifold before.

Modded or stock? I've seen stock which is like a dual plane. Those pics above are interesting.

I took them off my andale site. I'll try and repost them later from my computer. It's acting up now so it might be a couple days.
