20b FC vs 20b FD

im just curious as to which would be easier or is it just what ou prefer? i assume a 20b would rule over a 20b FC in handling? or am i wrong, it just seems like there are more 20b's in fc's than in fd's, and i also have another question, i really want to do a 20b swap in the furture but im still having trouble on deciding on which car i want to put it in because im in love with FC's and FD's. i was thinking of getting the engine and sending it out to get rebuilt and then putting it in the car stock, well with a front mount and the stock twins and computer. would it be worth it to use the stock cosmo computer or does it have a fuel cut on it like an FD or FC? or should i search and read more? thanks

i've seen more FD's with 20B swaps than i have FC's, but if your observation reflects what's really the case, then my guess would be cost. Gen II's are cheaper up front (and easier to find) than Gen III's.

definitely search and read some more. i think i remember reading somewhere that swapping a Cosmo ECU/harness is not as easy as it may seem simply because there were so many things integrated into the engine circuit and without feedback from those things, the ECU would not allow the engine to run right. i'm sure someone with better info will chime in soon ...

Yes, let both cars share an engine. You know how expensive those 20--b'''''s are these days. Sorry, make that 20Bs.

If you don't add flared fenders to the FC, so you can have sufficient rubber on the road, you're right. If you add the wider wheels and tires to the FC and mount the 20B forward in the FD, the FC will probably be slightly better. If you mount the 20B back (cutting through the firewall), the FD will be better.

My 2 cents worth

The FC will be easier, since there is more room in the engine bay.

AFAIK, you can't use the stock computer unless you use the stock, automatic gearbox [yuck]. The stock ECU controls both.

I think that was in a beat up looking RX-3 at Sevenstock.

Sleeper is an understatement.

I love the first pic on that website. If you look at the left tail light, the seal around the top is falling off. That car just screams sleeper once you open the hood
